Geez, you got me goin' on the whole whats-out-now blurb BuT here's what's still to come with the 8PB series: JUPITER, our gorgeous "Champagne-style" Tripel, and NEPTUNE, our slowly-becoming-more-sour-as-I-type Belgian-style Dark Strong Ale. Yeah, these two final beers are quite demanding and maybe shoulda nevaH been involved in an annual series buT, hey, LiVe-and-LoVe-and-Learn. THiS is HoW...and, apparently, WHeN we RoLL. All I can say -- as someone who is sorta in charge -- is that I am sO glad we are not some huGe [inter]national company who NEeDs to get certain beers ouT on certain dates or the whole pile of $h!tty marketing goes down, down, down [that's fer U hashers] the TuBes. We are aLiVe and well and waiting for the riddling of JUPITER and the souring of NEPTUNE to occur by man and/or by bugs, respectively. Stay tuned...we'll put out the Planet Beer packs when all 9 are ready to rumble.
STILL on the 8PB front: There is some draft-only JUPITER that, of course, will not be riddled/degorged/dosed/cork-finished because it is -- hello? -- in KEGs; I am calling this ZEUS, which is the Greek counterpart to JUPITER’s Roman Jove. ZEUS will be released on FRI 12/19. ZEUS is draft -only and very delicious. It is a Belgian-style Tripel that will provide beautiful abundance to your celebrations. While Zeus will be available for growler- and keg-fills, JUPITER will only be available in 750mL and 1.75L cork-finished bottles upon its release in 2009. Pop...poP...PoP!
Our 2009 Crew Brew Series:
For 2009, the [current] NINE of us will each design|name|brew a beer. We've got all the beer styles, names and release months down; we're working on a label concept. The first beer was just brewed on MON 12/15. It will be released in JAN. All of us are very excited about this series. I think it’s a great way to “freeze” this time and space – right before we jump into the new place with new folks. The beers will be fabulously eclectic…just like us. They will be fabuously delicious ... just like U. I think this ties uS togethaH: U + MSBC = cosmic [beer] blisS.
MSBC's beer-fueled hockey team is having a fabulous season with a W6:L2:T0 record. The last two games of the Fall 2008 season are THU 12/18 at 10:30 PM and TUE 12/23 at 8:15 PM - Subway Ice Arena - on O'Malley at Old Seward. Come out, come ouT and cheer oN our SLAYERS!! I'll be there on 12/23. Meet in the Blue Line PuB to stay warm but not dry.
