Dear SeeKers of Chocolate- aNd Beer-infused CoMas:

This is how I began my week: Morgan, Mark and I met with Zoe and Lindsey of
Modern Dwellers Chocolate Lounge to "sample" truffles, create MSBC beer pairings
and begin planning an incredible beer+chocolate tasting for mid- to late APR.
Yeah, sometimes Mondays don't sucK. The pure flavors that Modern Dwellers incorporate into their truffles are amazing: ginger, wasabi, salmon [yes, we aRe in AK], curry, teQuila, black pepper, anchovy, sea salt, berbere. Really. And these are showcased along with other flavors--sweet spices, nuts, fruits--that are more common. I am sO excited about this tasting. Of course, much more research is in order. A LoT of R is required so the D results in deliciousness.
Also on MON MAR 01 we kicked off GO RED month. MSBC is donating $1 per growler and $1 per case of Sockeye Red IPA sold @ MSBC during MAR. MSBC is also donating $1 per case of Sockeye Red IPA sold through our AK distributor, Specialty Imports, to retailers. And Specialty Imports is matching that donation. How can you participate? Buy Sockeye Red IPA--our top-selling beer, by a long shot [we LoVe you HopHeads]--at MSBC and any/all of your favorite bottle shops aLways BUT especially in MAR. Help us contribute a BiG donation to Red Cross.
Additionally, we've put out Red Cross jars so that you can celebrate the everyday heroes in your life by filling out a cut-out with your hero's name then STUFFING THE JAR. La Bodega is also putting out some jars for this RC Heroes Campaign. Please STUFF THE JARS!
Tonight is FFF--First Firkin Friday, featuring ARTISTS Deaglan [industrial photography] and Jenissa [frames-as-art]. And the FIRKIN is MaYHeM, Baby! This version is dry-hopped with SuMMiT. We tap the firkin @ 5 PM. Don't be LaTe.
