A pilsner on steroids. Starting with a simple grain bill of pilsner and wheat malt, we added dextrose to raise the starting gravity and help encourage a dry, crisp finish after fermentation. Four different hop additions during the boil of Citra and Ekuanot bring a bitterness and strong hop flavor typical of a Double IPA. Both hops are American varietals that produce strong citrus and berry aromatics, Ekuanot imparts strong papaya and lime notes, while Citra adds grapefruit and passion fruit aromatics. Arctic Devil (Blanton’s)

Arctic Devil Barley Wine, aptly named after the ferocious wolverine of the north, is an English-style barley wine that ages to perfection in oak barrels for several months before being blended, bottled and released in the fall. This highly acclaimed and awarded barley wine is a classic annual release of Midnight Sun, where a deceptively simple grain bill turns into big bold flavors hosting hints of caramel, vanilla, slight fruitiness, and strong malt sweetness that claw to the surface with every sip.

For 2022, we brewed two ferocious AD variations using two different world-class bourbon barrels – Weller & Blanton’s. Blanton’s bourbon was the world’s first “single barrel” bourbon, famous for its deep aromatics of nutmeg and spices, and strong notes of caramel and corn. Blanton’s sweet & spicy flavor profiles compliment Arctic Devil perfectly, and we can’t wait for you to unleash the wonderful flavors that wait within.

Arctic Devil (Weller)

For 2022, we brewed two ferocious AD variations using two different world-class bourbon barrels – Weller & Blanton’s. Weller Antique barrels host wheat bourbon, distilled at the famous Buffalo Trace Distillery known for making its legendary bourbon whiskey for over 200 years. Weller’s high-proof bourbon hosts sweet floral notes accompanied by strong hints of vanilla and spice, bringing out the best of Arctic Devil’s bold bite.

Berserker (2022)

Termination Dust

As soon as Lee gets that first glimpse of snow on Flattop, we release both our hopes of summer staying and our tantalizing Termination Dust. This annual confirmation is a Belgian barley wine aged in oak barrels that blends 4 different yeast strains for a strong Belgian ester profile of stone fruit, raisins and alcohol warmth. The complex malt bill adds a depth of malt sweetness and slight roast character that compliments the vanilla and bourbon notes brought out of the barrel through extended aging. Bundle up and drink down some Termination Dust, because winter is right around the corner.

Festbier

What happens when festbier meets October in Alaska? You get a beautifully balanced Oktoberfest beer as colorful and crisp as the fall trees and eves. This year’s Oktoberfest beer meets in the middle of traditional and American Festbier styles, marrying the deep amber color and strong caramel and toffee flavors of ‘Merican Oktoberfest beers with the crisp and light nature of a traditional festbier. The end result is a masterful mix of malt sweetness and hop spiciness that is perfect for fall weather and a great gateway into the darker beers of winter. The midnight sun may be fleeting with summer, but the fantastic flavors of fall are just starting to fruit.

Gold Star Peak Grisette

Gold Star Peak Grisette is brewed with honor and respect for our military heroes and their survivors. Grisette is a beer style that was originally brewed mainly for workers in local mines in the Hainaut province of Belgium. Traditionally crisp, medium/light in body, with citrus undertones, Grisettes were enjoyed after a hard days work. We brewed this beer with lemon peel and pink peppercorns and fermented it with a Belgian Saison yeast, giving a balance of slight lemon tartness and spice. This beer makes for a great summit beer to be enjoyed responsibly once hiking and reaching your favorite summit.
